Undocumented guns, bullets seized

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – Police seized undocumented firearms and ammunition and arrested their owners in separate operations in Batangas and Quezon on Friday, August 11.

Police Regional Office 4-A chief Police Brig. Gen. Carlito Gaces identified the gun owners as Jerry Ramirez, a resident of Barangay Balele, Tanauan City, Batangas, and Dante Reana, of Barangay Casay in San Francisco, Quezon.

Confiscated from Ramirez, who was arrested through a search warrant for violation of Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) at his residence in Tanauan City, were a caliber 9mm pistol, a caliber .45 pistol, and bullets.

Reana was nabbed for possession of three shotguns and ammunition in his home during the implementation of a search warrant issued by Presiding Judge Julieto Fabrero of the Regional Trial Court Branch 63 in Calauag, Quezon for violation of RA 10591.
