Bohol Gov. Aris Aumentado said the opening of the Alagang Tingog Center (ATC) will bring government services closer to Boholanos.
Aumentado joined Tingog party-list Representatives Yedda Romualdez and Jude Acidre in opening ATCs in the towns of Balilihan, Sierra Bullones, and Ubay and Tagbilaran City.
The opening of ATCs in Bohol was supported by House Speaker Martin Romualdez and Undersecretary Terence Calatrava of the Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas, said Aumentado.
During the opening of the satellite offices, Tingog officials distributed financial assistance under the Department of Social Welfare and Development's (DSWD) Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) program.
“We are so happy that 1,000 beneficiaries from Balilihan received P5,000 each during the AICS payout,” said Aumentado.
Another 1,000 beneficiaries in Sierra Bullones and 1,000 beneficiaries from Ubay also received P5,000 each, added Aumentado.
These ATCs were opened just a few weeks after Romualdez and Acidre led the inauguration of the party-list’s satellite offices in Cebu.
ATCs have been opened in the cities of Mandaue, Cebu and Lapu-Lapu.
