Dottie Ardina carded a 1-under-par 71 for a share of eighth place after two rounds in the Four Winds Invitational in South Bend, Indiana on Friday, Aug. 11.
The 29-year-old, who opened her campaign with a 68, fired birdies on the par-4 second and ninth holes against a lone bogey on the 10th for a two-round tally of 139, four strokes behind solo leader Gabriela Rufels of Australia.
Rufels, who had an opening-round 70, propelled from a share of 17th to the top of the leaderboard after a bogey-free 65 for 135.
She sizzled at the front nine with five birdies including three straight from the sixth hole, before adding two more birdies on the 12th and 15th.
Trailing by two strokes were Becca Huffer and Agatha Laisne with 137 after posting 68 and 69, respectively.
Meanwhile, Pauline Del Rosario salvaged an even-par 72 for 143 at joint 27th after stumbling with a double bogey on the ninth. She made birdies on the fourth and eighth.
Clarice Guce struggled with a 74, but still made it to the cut with a 145 total for a share of 50th.
Guce encountered a mishap on No. 17 where she made a triple bogey after a birdie on the seventh.
Not so fortunate were Abegail Arevalo (74) and Chanelle Avaricio (77), who missed the cut after limping home with 150 and 151 totals.
