The 6-foot high-flyer from Kibawe, Bukidnon, did not throw down a dunk, but regaled the packed crowd with 22 points, three rebounds and three assists to earn a second straight best player honors and tow Imus SV Squad to an 11-11 slate in the round-robin elimination phase of the tournament.

It showed that Actub's breakout 31-point, highlighted by seven rim-rattling slams, 10-rebound, nine-assist effort in a 125-66 drubbing of Bulacan on Aug. 2,  wasn't a fluke, further endearing him to fans that swarmed the court after the game.

Veteran Nino Cañaleta supported Actub with 16 points and five rebounds and so did Carlo Lastimosa with 10 points as Imus notched its fourth straight win and revved up its playoff drive in the South division of the 29-team field.

Muntinlupa tumbled to 12-10 despite drawing 13 points each from John Delos Santos, John Amores and Val Acuna, and 12 points from Marco Balagtas.

Earlier games saw the Makati OKBet Kings subdue the Iloilo United Royals, 87-80, and the GenSan Warriors trounce the Manila Stars, 82-70.

With Jan Jamon pouring 12 of his 23 points, Makati pulled ahead, 66-57, after the third quarter en route to a 17-6 slate.
Rob Celiz and Billy Robles backed Jamon with 12 and 11 points, respectively.

Iloilo dropped to an even 12-12 record despite the 20-point effort of Joshua Flores and the 15-point, 13-rebound output of CJ Catapusan.

GenSan, behind Delmar Mahaling's 16-point, seven-rebound line, climbed to 18-5. Other Warriors who delivered were John Wilson with 14 points and Larry Rodriguez and Kyt Jimenez with 10 each.

Manila, which skidded to 3-21, got 20 points from homegrown Mark Yu, 15 from Kyle Neypes and 13 from Jay Yutuc.
