150 hired on-the-spot in Pasig job fair


Around 150 jobseekers were hired on-the-spot during the job fair held at the Robinsons Metro East in Pasig City on Friday, Aug. 11.

The hired individuals underwent the application and interview process in real time among over 25 participating companies in the fair, which include Acquire, Alorica, BDO, Goldilocks, McDonalds, the Manila Electric Company (Meralco), Robinsons Supermarket, Toby’s Sports, and Puregold among others.

Two companies, namely Lead Resources Management Corp.and Sharp BH Global Manpower Inc, offered overseas employment opportunities during the fair. 

The job fair was organized by the Pasig City Public Employment Service Office (PESO), in collaboration with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC).

A one-stop-shop for first time jobseekers was also set-up in the fair for fresh graduates to register and avail of documents from the PhilHealth, Social Security System (SSS), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), and PAGIBIG for free.

The job fair  was graced by Pasig Vice Mayor Robert “Dodot” Jaworski Jr., and Councilor Quin Cruz, both of whom assured the public of the local government’s support for continuous programs to provide employment opportunities for citizens.
