Wong Chu King Foundation extends relief assistance to victims of Typhoon Egay in Bulacan

The Wong Chu King Foundation, Inc. (WCKFI), a non-stock, non-profit organization,extended relief assistance to several victims of the typhoon “Egay” last August 3 and 4, 2023,providing them with necessities such as rice, biscuits, noodles, canned goods, milk & bottled water.

WCKFI is continuously performing philanthropic missions in educational, social,livelihood, medical,religious, and other similar fields, exhibiting the values laid down by its humble founder Wong Chu King.

WCKFI donated 400 relief baskets to 400 families situated in several sitios in BarangayLongos, Malolos, Bulacan and 25 sacks of 25kgs rice in Barangay Sta. Cruz, Guiguinto, Bulacan, both places gravely affected by Typhoon “Egay.”

Sangguniang Barangay Captain of Longos, Roberto L. Ganela and SK Miel Agustin reiterated that flood remains as one of the problems of Barangay Longos, saying, “Ang pagbaha ay isang pangkaraniwang problema sa Barangay Longos na nagdudulot ng hamon sa komunidad kaya kinakailangang mapahusay ang sistema at magkaroon ng hakbang sa agarang pagtugon upang maibsan ang epekto ng baha. Higit pa, ang pagkain ang isa sanagiging problema ng Longoseño, at malaking tulong ang 400 packs ng pagkain mula sa
Wong Chu King Foundation. Patunay na sa kalamidad ay kailangan ng bayanihan at sama-samang aksyon.”
