Tugue Zombie defends Jose Manalo from bashers

Veteran comedian Jose Manalo landed in hot water recently, making fun of Nigerian Tugue Zombie in a segment of "E.A.T."

Some fans accused him of being "insensitive" if also "racist," for using the term "blackout" in a humorous quip alluding to his co-host.  

He said, “Ito kapag napanalunan mo sa bingo ‘to, yan ang tinatawag na blackout.”

But Tugue was quick to defend him. 

On Facebook, Tugue uploaded a video with the caption: "Bakit nagiging issue ng banat ni kuya jose sakin?"

He reiterated that it is a non-issue for him.

"Hindi ko alam kung bakit medyo sensitive po yung iba't-ibang tao... mind your business," he told naysayers.

He reiterated: “Kami sa Sugod Bahay, isang grupo kami. Masaya kami lahat. Parang pamilya kaming lahat. We talk, we eat, we do everything together parang family."

Tugue then advised netizens, “Kung ang view mo talaga is always negative, lahat makikita mo it’s gonna be negative. Pero kung ang view mo talaga is positive, gusto mo lang ng good vibes, positive vibes, e, di, kapag nanonood ka, lahat ng makikita mo positive din.”

“Sa mga tao diyan, wag kayo masyado magiging sensitive sa mga jokes namin sa Sugod Bahay. Okay lang kami diyan. Masaya kami.”

The online content creator deemed his "E.A.T." co-hosts Jose and Wally Bayola as his "bosses."

"Matagal na sila sa trabaho. They're experienced. Alam nila kung anong mali, alam nila kung anong tamang joke. They know everything. They’ve been there for years. So, respect them.”

“Sa mga pakialamera diyan, please mind your business, okay? Masaya kami. Masaya ako," he stressed. "Wala kaming problema. Masaya ako at si Kuya Jose masaya din. Everything we’re doing is just good vibes... He did nothing wrong, okay? He did not hurt me.”

Tugue maintained that at the end of the day, their goal is simply to spread good vibes.
