Sen. Revilla distributes relief goods to flood victims in 6 Bulacan towns


Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla distributed 6,000 boxes of relief goods to the flood victims in six towns in Bulacan on Thursday, August 10. 

Hagonoy Mayor Baby Manlapaz, Calumpit Mayor Lem Faustino, and Paombong Mayor Marie Ann Marcos joined Revilla during the distribution of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) food packs in the said coastal towns.

From these Bulacan towns, Sen. Revilla proceeded to Pandi, Plaridel, and San Miguel where he was able to talk to Mayor Rico Roque, Mayor Jocell Vistan and Mayor Roderick Tiongson, and distributed food aid.

Sen. Revilla also met with Bulacan First District Engineer Henry Alcantara of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and conducted a site inspection in Calumpit, Hagonoy, and Paombong to assess the damages brought by the flooding, be informed of the residents’ needs, and to find long-term solutions to the flooding.

District Engineer Alcantara told Sen. Revilla that in order to pursue the flood control project in the towns of Calumpit, Hagonoy, and Paombong, they need funds of more than P30 billion.

The Senate Committee on Public Works chairman told the mayors to don't hesitate to approach him for projects they needed and vowed to approve their requests immediately.
