Pasig, Muntinlupa LGUs exchange good governance practices
The City Planning and Development Offices (CPDOs) of the Pasig and Muntinlupa city governments engaged in a good practice exchange (GPE) activity on Wednesday, Aug. 9.
The Muntinlupa CPDO, headed by Acting Head Enp. Alvin Veron, met with the Pasig CPDO, led by Enp. Priscella Mejillano.
The sessions for the GPE activity involved information sharing on staffing patterns between the two offices, which the Pasig local government deems as one of the critical reforms done to improve efficiency and capacity of the CPDO.

The CPDO is the primary department that drafts and prepares essential plans for the city, and monitors its implementation with the help of other departments and offices.
The CPDO also presented the newly launched City-Wide Land Information Management and Automation (CLIMA) system, which helps streamline and automate government processes, especially those of regulatory offices, such as business and construction permitting.
The Muntinlupa CPDO also presented their own procedures in planning and budgeting, as well as a discussion on their programs, projects, accomplishments and challenges they experienced during their implementation.
An open forum was held to freely exchange insights, comments, and recommendations for the improvement of both offices.

The Muntinlupa delegation also met with the personnel of the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) and the Command Control Center.
The GPE is similar to a benchmarking activity wherein the local government units (LGUs) share their best practices governance practices in their respective fields.
During Mayor Vico Sotto’s administration, Pasig City has hosted numerous benchmarking activities and exchanges as requested by other LGUs in the country who want to know and emulate the city government’s procedures and systems.
