CANDELARIA, Quezon – Suspected shabu valued at P10.4 million was discovered in the comfort room of a fast food restaurant here on Thursday evening, August 10.

CANDELARIA, Quezon â€“ Suspected shabu valued at P10.4 million was discovered in the comfort room of a fast food restaurant here on Thursday evening, August 10.

Quezon police director Police Col. Ledon Monte said that service crew called the attention of policemen who were about to have dinner about the contraband stuffed in a garbage bin.

Monte said that the illegal drugs weighed more than half a kilo and had a Dangerous Drug Board (DDB) value of P3,478,200 and street value of P10,434,600.

Police said the courier might have left the illegal drugs upon sensing the arrival of lawmen.

Restaurant surveillance footage is being reviewed for the identification of the courier.

Monte thanked the service crew for informing them of the presence of the illegal drugs and said that concerned citizens are a big help in the campaign against narcotics.
