Makati Life Medical Center's OPD to close for electrical maintenance
The Makati City local government announced on Thursday, Aug. 10, that the 24/7 Out Patient Department (OPD) of the Makati Life Medical Center on Metropolitan Avenue in Malugay, Makati will suspend its operations to give way for its scheduled electrical maintenance.
According to the hospital's management, the electrical maintenance will start on Saturday, Aug. 19, at 9 p.m. and will last until Monday, Aug. 21, at 8 a.m.
"During this period, our facility will be undergoing essential maintenance work to ensure a safe and conducive environment for your care," Makati Life's management said.
"During this time, we kindly request that you refrain from visiting our facility. Do not schedule any appointments or consultations on the specific dates and times," it added.
The city government first opened the facility's primary care services on May 8.
"Today marks a great milestone for the people of Makati, especially our senior citizens, as now, they have access to quality primary care services 24/7. It took several years to complete, but we delivered on our promise to give Makatizens a bigger and more accessible hospital where they can receive medical attention whenever they need it," Makati City Mayor Abby Binay said during the launch.
Previously named Ospital ng Makati 2 (OsMak 2), the Makati Life Medical Center is located on Malugay Street in Bgy. Bel-Air. The facility is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Makati Life's 24/7 primary care clinic offers Makatizens a complete range of primary care services, including preventive health screenings, diagnosis and treatment of common medical conditions, laboratory tests, RT-PCR tests, nutrition consultations, 24/7 pharmacy services, and more.
“This is a game changer because all Yellow Card holders may avail of its services for free. Even those living in District 2 may go to the OPD of Makati Life. Let me add that even if Makati Life accepts private individuals, its healthcare services are still accessible to Yellow Card holders which include senior citizens of Makati City and employees of the city hall. A "Yellow Card" zone has also been set up to give priority to Makati Yellow Card holders," Binay said in the vernacular.
Ospital ng Makati (OsMak) patients may also be referred to Makati Life for specialized tests and services. The city is also working to fully integrate the medical records of both hospitals, so OsMak patients can have their check-ups at Makati Life and not have to worry about providing their patient history.
