Muntinlupa LGU to allow public high school to use land for 50 years
The Muntinlupa City government will allow a public high school to use the land it currently occupies for 50 years.
This, after the Muntinlupa City Council passed Resolution 2023-289 authorizing Mayor Ruffy Biazon “to grant unto the Department of Education (DepEd) through the School Division Office of Muntinlupa (SDO Muntinlupa) the use of a portion of a parcel of land owned by the City Government of Muntinlupa with Transfer Certificate of Title No. 43855 located at Barangay Sucat, as school site for Muntinlupa Business High School (MBHS) Sucat Annex.” Biazon signed the resolution.

The Muntinlupa City government owns a land measuring 430,133 sq. m. in Barangay Sucat. According to the resolution, “a portion of the said property is being occupied by the buildings and school facilities of the Muntinlupa Business High School (MBHS) Sucat Annex.”
It added that the grant is for “the non-exclusive and gratuitous use of the land and buildings used for the operation of the MBHS Sucat Annex.”
“This grant of use shall be valid for a term of fifty (50) years reckoned from execution of this agreement and may be renewed thereafter,” it added.
The resolution noted that “in order to pursue such learning environment, schools and its facilities must have a sense of stability beginning with a school site away from the issues of ownership and possession. It is worth noting that a number of public schools in the CGM are built on property belonging to the national government, private individuals and the local government unit.”
