Las Piñas City Mayor Imelda Aguilar led the blessing of additional vehicles acquired by the city government on Thursday, Aug. 9, at the Las Piñas City Hall grounds.
Aguilar was joined by Vice Mayor April Aguilar in receiving the two water tanks, two garbage compactor, one dump truck, and seven motorcycles.
She said the two garbage compactors and one dump truck will be turned over to the City Environment and Natural Resources (CENRO) to improve its efficiency in collecting garbage and maintain the cleanliness around the city.
The mayor added that the motorcycles will be given to the Traffic Parking and Management Office (TPMO) to boost their emergency response capacities and assist in enforcing traffic in the city.
Moreover, the two water tanks acquired will be used for delivering potable water to residents who will be affected by water service interruptions in the city.
