ILOILO CITY – Shabu worth P1 million was seized and a suspected drug pusher was arrested in a buy-bust operation here on August 9.
Police identified the suspect as Geovany Postalero Gozon.
Gozon, 32, was apprehended in Barangay Bakhaw in Mandurriao District, known to be one of this city’s hotbed for illegal drug trade, after he sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur-buyer.
The suspect yielded a total of more than 150 grams of shabu.
The Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 lauded the police here for another big drug haul.
Police Brig. Gen. Sidney Villaflor, PRO-6 director, said Gozon’s arrest is a big dent in the supply of illegal drugs in this city.
Gozon, the No. 2 target listed illegal drug personality of the Mandurriao Police station, was charged for violating Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
