2 suspects nabbed for raping young girls in Dasmariñas, Cavite

CAVITE – Authorities collared two suspects who allegedly raped two girls, four and eight years old, in Dasmariñas City on Tuesday, August 8.

The Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO) identified the suspects as Aljohn S. Iso, 22 years old, and Mark Lester Gragasi, alias Hapon, 21 years old.

On Aug. 4, the victims identified as alias Frea and alias Diane, were discovered injured in a vacant lot in Barangay Burol Main. They were rushed to the hospital and the official medical report stated that the girls were raped.

On Aug. 5, Mayor Jenny Austria-Barzaga announced a P400,000 reward for any information that would help authorities locate the persons of interest in connection with the crime.

The suspects were later arrested during a manhunt operation.

Iso and Gragasi are now under the custody of Dasmariñas City Police Station and are facing rape charges.
