Netizens are up in arms.
They are not happy that the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) as led by Lala Sotto, summoned "It's Showtime" producers for the alleged "indecent act" displayed by hosts Vice Ganda and Ion Perez.
Some believe the agency over-reacted to a scene showing Ion offering Vice cake icing.
A few have since went on to urge the MTRCB to also summon producers of "EAT," accusing one of its hosts, none other than Lala's father himself, former senator Tito Sotto, of alleged misconduct.
They specifically cited Tito's effort to shower her wife with kisses during "EAT's" National Dabarkads Day celebration last Saturday.
Footage of the said scene has since gone viral on social media.
In it, co-host Joey de Leon is heard saying, "'To, sabi ni Ciara, lagot ka raw sa MTRCB dahil over-kissing."
Some of the comments:
"Hindi ba mas malaswa ito MTRCB?"
"Dapat fair kayo. Ipatawag nyo rin si Tito Sen!"
There are others though who didn't seem to mind.
Said one, "Dapat nga tularan yun ginawa ni tito sen kase kahit may idad na sila at kahit sa publiko pinakikita pa rin yun sweetness nila.dapat tularan yan ng kabataan.mahalin ang asawa."
The MTRCB is yet to issue a statement about it as of writing.
