Makati City Mayor Abby Binay on Tuesday, August 1, cited the accomplishments of the Ospital ng Makati (OsMak) as it continues to be one of the best medical facilities operated by a city government in Metro Manila.
Ospital ng Makati
She said there were already 7,771 babies born in OsMak from January 2020 to June 2023. Every mother who completed her pre-natal checkup in the hospital also gets to receive Baby Makatizen Bags containing a swaddle blanket, wash cloth, booties, belly binderÂ, rattle, tie-side and pajamas, baby cap, mittens, baby wipes, diapers, and a reusable baby bag. The new mothers are also taught the correct way of breastfeeding based on the set standards of the Department of Health (DOH). Ang certification na ito ay ibinibigay tuwing tatlong taon at isang malaking karangalan para sa lahat ng ospital at organisasyon (Because of this program, the DOH awarded OsMak with the Mother-Baby Friendly Facility and Mother-Baby Friendly Workplace certification on July 27. This certification is being given every three years and is a big honor to all hospitals and organizations)," Binay said. She also cited the hospital's top-of-the-line services and equipment that ensure the high level of quality healthcare it gives to its citizens. These include OsMak's rehab treatment services for stroke, accident, and children with autism spectrum patients. A total of 10,571 individuals have benefitted from these services from January 2020 to June 2023. For those suffering from eye problems, OsMak's Eye Center have given service to 77,886 Yellow Card Holders. The center is also using advanced equipment for the quick and efficient check-ups of Makatizens. The health and welfare of our youth are also our main priorities, hence, a total of 18,109 children have benefitted from OsMak's services since January 2023)," the mayor noted. Mayroon na tayong 6,800 na nabigyan ng libreng chemotherapy simula January 2023, at 2,342 naman ang pasyenteng nagpapa-dialysis sa OsMak (Despite the high cost of chemotherapy and dialysis, all our Yellow Card holders are entitled to receive these procedures for free. There are already 6,800 individuals who have been given with free chemotherapy procedures since January 2023, and 2,342 Makatizens have received free dialysis in OsMak)," she added. Binay said that from January to May 2023, there were already 94,366 patients served in OsMak. These include the out patient, emergency care, and those confined in the hospital. Ang OsMak ang nagsisilbing modelo ng libre, dekalidad, at may pusong paglilingkod (This assures our makatizens that there is a high quality hospital ready to serve them 24/7 and whatever their condition is. They will no longer need to worry about the health of their families. A good service and an excellent hospital are not just for those who can afford them. OsMak will remain as a model of a free, high quality facility providing service with a heart)," Binay said.
