Man arrested for raping daughter for 7 years

TAYABAS CITY, Quezon – Police arrested a father here on Monday, July 31, for allegedly raping his daughter for seven years, particularly during her birth anniversary, starting in 2016. Police Lt. Col. Bonna Obmerga, city police chief, said the victim, accompanied by her mother, has filed a complaint before the police. The victim told police she was last raped on July 24 at 10 a.m. in their house and then at 9 p.m. the same day. She told police that her father started raping her in 2016, particularly during her and her father’s birth anniversaries. Police are preparing a criminal complaint for violation of Republic Act 8353 (statutory rape) against the suspect.
