Heart Evangelista in Sorsogon

Almost two years after she taped the megahit Kapuso teleserye "I Left My Heart in Sorsogon" during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, actress Heart Evangelista, wife of Senator Chiz Escudero, returned to Sorsogon.

Heart, a style icon and global fashion influencer, was accompanied by her husband on her return visit to Sorsogon, as well as her sister Camille Ongpauco.

Although the trip to the province of Sorsogon was a much-awaited vacation for her and her husband, Heart made sure to have time to be with the poor and needy people of the province.

These patients are young people from 2 to 16 years old and come from different towns in Sorsogon. They were gathered at the Gubat Municipal Hall and the young people were really excited to see and talk to the former first lady of Sorsogon when Chiz was the sitting governor. Even their parents or caregivers were obviously excited and couldn't stop asking for a selfie with Heart.

Heart's short speech was heartwarming in which she said that she and Chiz are just instruments of the Lord to distribute the blessings of heaven and help those in need.

She promised that she will visit the province again when there is another opportunity.

"Ï miss you all. I miss Sorsogon,” said Heart.
