Cruise ship slated to visit Eastern Visayas in November


TACLOBAN CITY – Another cruise ship is slated to visit tourist destinations in at least four provinces in Eastern Visayas in November.

The Department of Tourism-Regional Office 8 is conducting site inspections with Travel People Ltd. Inc. and Wallem Philippines Shipping Inc. in preparation for the anticipated cruise call of Coral Adventurer.

Coral Adventurer will visit Padre Burgos, Southern Leyte, Biri and Capul Islands in Northern Samar, Maripipi, Biliran, Tacloban City, Babatngon, and Palompon in Leyte, and Padre Burgos in Southern Leyte.

The inspections aim to assess the logistical requirements and other necessities that a port of call needs to ensure that the shore excursion provides an unforgettable experience to cruise visitors.

It also aims to gather inputs for the conceptualization and development of the best shore excursion itinerary and activities offered to cruise guests.

Coral Adventurer is Australia's pioneering expedition cruise company. It is set bring one of its luxury expedition trips to 24 shore excursion destinations in the Philippines this year.
