Chery continues to add hybrids to its growing lineup, with the Tiggo 5X now being the most accessible in its lineup. As part of the model update, not only does the small crossover get a more powerful and efficient engine, the Tiggo 5X also gets the Pro treatment. This imbues it with a sleeker
exterior, as well as a more feature-packed cabin. Chery also offers a non-hybrid version, called the Comfort variant.

These improvements include the new Diamond Galaxy grille, LED headlights with daytime running lights, and two rows of LEDs for foglights. Red accents line the bottom of the bumpers all around the car. It rolls on 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels exclusive to the Hybrid version. The Tiggo 5X Pro Comfort gets a similar look but rolls on smaller 17-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the interior features leather seats and a black dashboard with red accents. There’s also adjustable interior lighting whose color can be customized.

For in-car entertainment, the Tiggo 5X Pro offers a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It has Bluetooth connectivity and Android Auto
and Apple CarPlay support. The Hybrid version gets six speakers while the Comfort variant comes with four speakers.

Powering the Tiggo 5X Pro Hybrid is a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that’s assisted by a 48V belt-starter generator (BSG). These two combine to give it a total output of 156-PS with 230-Nm of torque. It’s paired with a CVT to drive the front wheels.

The Tiggo 5X Pro Comfort gets a 1.5-liter naturally-aspirated inline-four that produces 114-PS with 141-Nm of torque and is also paired to a CVT.

The Chery Tiggo 5X Pro is priced at P1,140,000 for the Hybrid and P940,000 for the Comfort.
