This means, according to a statement from the OVP, that more Filipinos would be able to access the said aid.

“Covered by the grant are payment of bills, dialysis treatment, medicines, laboratory and diagnostic procedures, implants and other medical and assistive devices, chemotherapy, brachytherapy, radiation, physical, speech, and occupational therapy,” Duterte's office said.

The agreement was signed by OVP Chief of Staff and Undersecretary Zuleika Lopez and PAGCOR chairman and chief executive officer Alejandro Tengco at OVP Central Office in Mandaluyong City on Tuesday, Aug. 1.

The signing was witnessed by Vice President Sara Duterte and PAGCOR members and officials.

From July 2022 to 2023, the OVP’s Medical and Burial Assistance program has already served 82,353 beneficiaries and processed P764,802,065.60 in assistance.

Those who wish to avail themselves of the program’s benefits can get free public assistance application forms from the OVP Central Office and the OVP Extension Offices in Lipa, Batangas and Tondo, Manila.

These can also be accessed via the 10 OVP satellite offices in Davao, Zamboanga, Cotabato, Surigao, Cebu, Bacolod, Tacloban, Isabela, Dagupan, and Legazpi.

To date, the OVP has a total of 756 partners composed of public and private hospitals, as well as dialysis centers nationwide.
