The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is warning the public against dealing with four firms due to their unauthorized solicitation of investments without the necessary license from the SEC.
The SEC said these firms are Dairy Farmers of America Inc. (DFA); Reigns Profit Sharing/Josan Paluwagan/Benta Slots; PNJS Profit Sharing Benta-Slot/PNJS Benta Sahod/PNJS Finance/Variety-Store and Online Shop; and Infinity Success/Infinity Success Trading.
The Commission said DFA is engaged in the impersonation of the real Dairy Farmers of America and the misappropriation of its logo in offering unauthorized and illegal investments to the public.
“While the legitimate Dairy Farmers of America is a farmer-owned milk marketing cooperative and dairy processor based in Kansas, USA, this fake and fraudulent ‘Dairy Farmers of America, Inc.’ is not in any way related to, affiliated, or connected with the legitimate Dairy Farmers of America,” said the SEC.
It added that, “the fraudulent DFA professes that its investors are parting with their money for the purchase of cattle to be raised for milking purposes where profits from the sale of milk are to be given to the investors.”
To invest, prospective investors must deposit money to the DFA app to buy or invest in a particular farm project/cattle.
In return, investors are promised guaranteed returns from as low as three percent to as high as 66 percent for investments ranging from P100 to P10,000 in only one to 30 days. This entity also offers referral commission for any direct recruit.
Meanwhile, Reigns Profit Sharing/Josan Paluwagan/Benta Slots entices the public to invest in their business scheme for a promise of high monetary rewards or profits, such as earnings of 70 percent up to 120 percent after 30 days.
Investors are only required to deposit money and expect a lucrative return on investment without any definite plan on how the business will operate or what products to sell to earn a profit.
On the other hand, PNJS Profit Sharing Benta-Slot/PNJS Benta Sahod/PNJS Finance/Variety-Store and Online Shop is registered with the Department of Trade and Industry under the name of one Joana Marie Molina Cabaddo.
It offers investments to the public with a minimal amount of P1,000 per account with earnings of as much as 1.9 percent a day for 30 days.
Cabaddo allegedly earns through Benta sahod/Lending and Financing activities, Paluwagan, etc., and by merely promising investors lucrative returns on their investments.
In the case of Infinity Success/Infinity Success Trading, individuals or a group of persons headed by a certain Al Sarif Hasan poses online that it is composed of a group of professional traders that will help investors learn the safest way to trade.
They will also allegedly help in giving signals and reading patterns to make sure investors’ trades are safe. This entity is offering investments to the public with a minimal amount of P500.00 up to P100,000 but with promised earnings of 40 percent after seven days.
Moreover, based on the information gathered by the Commission this entity is expanding its business as casino junket operators.
“Some of these groups' investment schemes or actions resemble a pyramid/Ponzi scheme, where investors earn through recruitment fees instead of the sale of actual products/services, and investors are paid using the contribution of new members,” said the SEC.
