K-drama 'King the Land' records highest ratings for episode 8
The Korean drama “King the Land,” starring Lee Junho and Yoona, garnered its highest ratings in South Korea to date.
The JTBC romantic comedy aired its episodes 7 and 8 on July 8 and 9, respectively.

According to polling firm Nielsen Korea, the rating for episode 8 of “King the Land” rose to 12.317 percent nationwide in South Korea, its highest to date, and maintained its No. 1 position among shows on comprehensive programming channels. It was watched by 2.985 million people nationwide in South Korea. This is higher by 1.71 percentage points compared to 10.607 percent nationwide rating for episode 7 on July 8. In the metropolitan area (Gyeonggi, Incheon and Seoul), episode 8 of “King the Land” got a rating of 13.427 percent, its highest to date and the first time that it reached the 13-percent mark. It was watched by 1.479 million people in the metropolitan area. This is higher by 1.93 percentage points compared to 11.496 percent for episode 7. On Netflix, “King the Land” earlier secured the No. 1 spot among non-English TV shows with four million views, or 24.5 million hours viewed, for the period June 26 to July 2. “King the Land” is aired on JTBC in South Korea and on Netflix in other countries and regions.
