Many are wondering about the friendship of David Licauco and Jak Roberto given the succes of the former's love team with the latter's girlfriend Barbie Forteza.
The "Pambansang Ginoo" finally shared the tea about it taking the lie detector challenge in Bea Alonzo's vlog.
According to David, he and Jak are good friends.
He doesn't think he is jealous of his and Barbie's onscreen pairing, relating, "Artista rin kasi siya, so I think he knows about the ins and outs of this industry."
"And I think si Barbie, hindi rin naman siya siguro nagkukulang to give him assurance. Knowing Barbie, she is a good person. I think, she is a good partner also,” he added.
Is he pressured that some fans are hoping they'll end up together in real life?
David admitted he is.
Asked if having a romantic relationship with Barbie ever cross his mind, David answered "no."
But the lie detector machine said it was a lie.
David insisted that he respects Barbie and Jak's romance but was quick to add, "Pero totoo naman, what if?"
David's answer was once again tagged as a "lie" when he denied that he has a "crush" on Barbie.
Anyway, the Kapuso star thinks he is Barbie's "best leading man."
"I'm not saying na di nag-click yung dati. Sinasabi rin naman niya (Barbie) na ito yung parang love team na mas marami talagang sumuporta."
Meanwhile, he cleared notion he is consciously featuring Barbie on his social media account just to make fans giddy.
Note that after their successful team-up via "Maria Clara at Ibarra," the two are set to star in the upcoming film “That Kind of Love” and the TV remake of “Maging Sino Ka Man.”
"Definetly there's pressure kasi yung 'Maria Clara at Ibarra' mahirap i-top yun. But I try my best not to think about it because I think mas lalo akong mape-pressure. I just take it day by day."
If ever, he just wishes for the longevity of their team-up.
“I guess as a business person, gusto mong okay ang ginagawa mo. Kasi at the end of the day, business din naman ang showbiz. So, I really want to do my best in this loveteam."
As for his personal life, David declared that he's not ready to "mingle" and that he's "happy" with his career.
But if he is to pick between love and career, he'll pick the former.
And that given the chance he would rather have a girlfriend who's not in showbiz.
