Four wanted persons were arrested on Friday, July 7, as the police continued their intensified campaign against criminals on the loose in the province of Nueva Ecija.
Police Col. Richard V. Caballero, Nueva Ecija police chief, said the four wanted persons were collared in separate “Manhunt Charlie” operations conducted by the Gapan City, Cabanatuan City, Nampicuan, and Rizal police.
Police released only the suspects’ aliases which are “John,” “Jonjon,” “Mario,” and “Julius.”
The suspects arrested by personnel of the Gapan and Cabanatuan City police are facing qualified theft while the suspect nabbed by the Nampicuan police is facing charges for violation of Republic Act 7610.
RA 7160 is an act that provides a stronger deterrence and special protection against child abuse, exploitation, and discrimination, and for other purposes. This Act is also known as the “Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act.”
The fourth suspect was nabbed by the Rizal police for swindling.
The accused are now under the custody of operating units.
“These successful arrests proved the commitment of cops to revitalize their effort on the implementation of Manhunt Charlie operations to ensure that accused are duly brought behind bars,” said Caballero.
