Farmer yields P864,000 shabu, marijuana in buy-bust

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency arrested a suspected drug pusher and seized shabu and marijuana worth P864,000 in a buy-bust operation in Paitan, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya on Friday, July 7.   PDEA-Cordillera identified the suspect as James Baltazar, a farmer from Naguilian, Isabela. Baltazar yielded four sachets of suspected shabu weighing more or less 30 grams valued at P204,000, five bricks of dried marijuana leaves weighing a total of five kilograms worth P600,000, two half a kilo bricks of dried marijuana worth P60,000, and drug paraphernalia.   Suspect is under the custody of the Bayombong police station and charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The operation was conducted by the PDEA-Ifugao and Nueva Vizcaya.
