High-value drug pusher yields P3.6-M worth of shabu in Quezon


PAGBILAO, Quezon – An estimated P3-million worth of illegal drugs were seized from an arrested high-value individual drug suspect in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Santa Catalina here on Friday, July 7.

Quezon police director Police Col. Ledon Monte identified the arrested suspect as Samuel Marino, alias “Sam,” 23, a resident of the said place.

According to the report of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) Quezon, Marino has been under surveillance for a long time because of his drug activities in this town.

During the operation, Marino was caught while selling illegal drugs to operatives posing as a poseur-buyer.

Fifteen sachets and a knot-tied plastic bag of suspected shabu with a weight of approximately 180 grams and a street value of P3,672,000 and the marked money used in the buy-bust were seized from the suspect.

A case of violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 will be filed against him. Currently, the suspect is in the custody of Pagbilao MPS for the documentation process of the case.
