Aumentado said that he has reported to the Bohol Provincial Police Office that some individuals are using his name for their illegal gambling operations in the province to prosper.

“I immediately contacted our provincial director Lorenzo Batuan and instructed them to run after all illegal gambling operations in the province and arrest all the people behind it,” said Aumentado.

Aumentado has also reached out to Interior and Local Government Secretary Benjamin Abalos Jr., whom he asked to assist the province in its anti-illegal gambling campaign.

He said he also asked Abalos to help Bohol intensify its anti-illegal drug campaign.

Aumentado presided over a coordination meeting with representatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, Maritime Police, Philippine National Police, and Philippine Ports Authority.

They tackled enforcing tighter security measures in ports.

The meeting focused on the effective deployment of K9 units in ports and the airport.

Auemntado said deploying K9 units in the province’s entry points is one of the effective ways of preventing the smuggling of illegal drugs into the province.

“I assigned my executive assistant to oversee the upcoming launch of our K9 units. We have to be very technical in our K9 deployment so that it will be in order. K9 deployment will be a big help in our campaign against illegal drugs,” Aumentado said.
