P88,400 worth of shabu found from two Negros school watchmen arrested in buy-bust operation
BACOLOD CITY – Two casual government employees assigned as watchmen in an elementary school were arrested after they were found possessing 13 grams of suspected shabu worth P88,400 during a buy-bust operation in Barangay 3, Silay City, Negros Occidental on Thursday, July 6.

Police recovered from them the P4,000 marked money, a tooter, and non-drug items. Silay police chief Police Lt. Col. Mark Anthony Darroca said a concerned citizen informed them of the alleged illegal activity of the two suspects in the school. Darroca said they placed the two under monitoring for 10 days to verify the report before they launched the operation. He said the suspects would allegedly transact with their clients in the evening, as they were detailed in the school during night time. Darroca said the local government hired them as casual employees for about a year now. According to the police, Valenzuela is a high-value individual, while Nerio is a street-level individual.
