Valenzuela City Police Station (VCPS) operatives confiscated P1.7 million worth of alleged shabu from a man in a buy-bust conducted in Barangay Malanday, Valenzuela City on Thursday, July 6.
Col. Salvador Destura Jr., VCPS chief, identified the suspect as Elmer Sarmiento, 36, a resident of Barangay Malinta, Valenzuela City.

The buy-bust operation against the suspect was launched by the VCPS Station Drug Enforcement Unit at Aca Road, Mac Arthur Highway, Malanday, Valenzuela City at around 2:15 a.m.Â
Seized from the suspect were four transparent plastic sachets containing alleged shabu valued at P1,700,000; a cellphone, a belt bag, the buy-bust money, and a Honda Click motorcycle.
A criminal complaint for violation of Republic Act 9165 will be filed against the suspect before the Valenzuela City Prosecutor's Office, police said.
