ILOILO CITY – Police seized suspected shabu worth a total of P1.6 million in separate anti-drug operations here and the province of Iloilo on Wednesday and Thursday.

Police Brig. Gen. Sidney Villaflor, acting Police Regional Office-6 chief, cited the police for this accomplishment.
“These anti-drug operations are a huge success with the coordination of all units concerned and of course with the help of the community itself,” said Villaflor.
Three suspected drug pushers, including a minor, were arrested and 125 grams of shabu valued at P850,000 were recovered in a drug den raid in Oton on Thursday.
The two adult suspects, a brother and a sister, were considered high-valued drug suspects.
On Wednesday, police seized shabu valued at P816,000 from two suspected drug pushers in this city.
Suspects were identified as 49-year-old Wynnlee Descalsota Jaena and 23-year-old Era May Azuelo Calopez.
The Iloilo City Police Office-City Drug Enforcement Unit (ICPO-CDEU) led by Police Col. Antonio Benitez Jr. and the ICPO-Arevalo Police Station arrested the suspects in Barangay Santo Niño Sur.
Seized from Jaena and Calopez were 120 grams of shabu.
Suspects are facing charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Drugs Act of 2002.
