Muntinlupa welcomes new BFP fire marshal 


Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon welcomed Fire Supt. Jeffrey Atienza as the new head of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in the city. 

He replaced Fire Supt. Eugene Briones, who is now the new fire marshal of the BFP in Caloocan, which was headed by Atienza.

Atienza paid a courtesy call on Biazon, Vice Mayor Artemio Simundac and City Administrator Allan Cachuela. 

According to Biazon, Atienza is a graduate of the Philippine National Police Academy Class of 2022 and also headed BFP in different cities in Laguna. 

“I look forward to a good cooperation between the city government and BFP Muntinlupa for the sake of the citizens,” according to Biazon. 

Last July 3,  BFP National Capital Region head Chief Supt. Nahum Tarroza officiated the turnover ceremony of the new assignments. 

Aside from Atienza and Briones, Chief Insp. Xeriel Tamayo has been named as the new fire marshal of the Pateros Fire Station and Senior Insp. Ervic Gavieres has been designated as the deputy city fire marshal of Makati.
