P3.1-M imported shabu seized in controlled delivery operation
SAN FERNANDO CITY, Pampanga – A 31-year-old man was arrested and 450 grams of imported shabu worth P3.1 million were seized in a controlled delivery operation in Barangay Bangkal, Makati City on Wednesday night, July 5.
The shipment from Philadelphia, United States, consigned to a certain “Adrian Lagar,” whose real name was Adrian Lagarde, of Barangay Lucban, Makati, arrived at the Port of Clark on Monday, July 3.
"The shipment arrived at the Port of Clark last July 3, 2023. The parcel was declared as a bread toaster and consigned to Lagarte," PDEA-Central Luzon said.
The shipment was determined to contain shabu and was sent to Lagarde who was arrested after claiming the parcel.
The operation was conducted by the PDEA-Pampanga Provincial Office, PDEA-Central Luzon Airport Interdiction Unit,
Bureau of Customs (BOC)-Port of Clark, PDEA-National Capital Region, and the Makati police.
Suspect faces a case for violation of Section 4 (importation of dangerous drugs) of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
