Sean Anthony shines as NLEX beats NorthPort in Pido's UST homecoming

Sean Anthony displayed his veteran poise and took charge in the final frame as NLEX held off a hard-fighting NorthPort side, 95-87, in the PBA on Tour at the Quadricentennial Pavilion Arena inside the University of Sto. Tomas on Wednesday, July 5.

Anthony unloaded 10 of his 25 points in the fourth quarters as the Road Warriors shook off the pesky Batang Pier to catch their victims at identical 3-4 records in the standings. NLEX’s win also denied NorthPort team manager Pido Jarencio a winning homecoming at UST where he played for in college and coached several UAAP champion teams in the past. Clint Doliguez provided support with 14 points while Kris Rosales added 13 before exiting the contest after hurting his elbow in the second half. Kevin Alas also finished with 12 while Don Trollano chipped in 11.
