Seaman slays brother-in-law in Quezon

TIAONG, Quezon – A seaman allegedly gunned down his brother-in-law while he was having breakfast in Sitio Panghulan, Barangay Bula, this town, on Tuesday morning, July 4. Police identified the victim as Pedro Din, 43, tricycle driver. Investigation said Din and his brother-in-law, Leonardo Diola, were having breakfast when the suspect, Enrico Perez, a resident of Sitio Centro, Barangay Bua, arrived and shot the victim in the head, killing him on the spot. Suspect fled and is now the subject of a police manhunt. A relative of the suspect told police that Perez had been undergoing consultation with a psychiatrist due to depression. Recovered from the crime scene was an empty caliber .45 shell. Police said that the motive in the killing is personal grudge and a murder complaint will be filed before provincial prosecutor’s office here against the suspect.
