Maynilad launches water treatment facility in Imus

Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad), the concessionaire in the west zone of the National Capital Region, has launched the Anabu Modular Treatment Plant (ModTP) in Cavite  to improve the water services in Imus City. The Anabu ModTP is one of four small-scale treatment plants constructed in the province of Cavite. It is expected to produce 5.5 million liters per day (MLD) and can supply more than 13,000 customers. Once the Anabu ModTP becomes fully operational in September, it is expected to treat and produce up to 16 MLD of potable water.  “This is enough to supply more or less 114, 000 Maynilad customers in some parts of Imus City,” Maynilad said in a statement. The Anabu ModTP is one of Maynilad's projects for reducing the possible effects of El Niño on the availability of water supply. (Nicole Magmanlac)
