K-drama 'King the Land' rises to No. 1 on Netflix's weekly chart

“King the Land,” the Korean series starring Lee Junho of 2PM and Yoona of Girls’ Generation, took the No. 1 spot on Netflix’s weekly top 10 of the most watched TV shows and films on the video streaming platform.  Netflix released the weekly rankings for its Global Top 10 of the most viewed shows and movies covering the period June 26 to July 2.   "King the Land" stars Yoona and Junho (Netflix)
In the Non-English TV show category, “King the Land” is No. 1 with 4 million in total views for the week, or 24.5 million hours viewed.  It rose to the top from ranking No. 2 for the period June 19 to 25 where it received 4.7 million views.  This is the third week that “King the Land” landed on the top 10 on Netflix. It debuted at No. 7 on the Netflix top 10 list with 1.7 million views.  “King the Land” is in the top 10 in 31 countries and regions, according to Netflix. It is No. 1 in  seven markets: Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Vietnam.  It placed in the top 10 in Greece, Romania, Egypt, Kenya, Mauritius, Morocco, Nigeria, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Japan, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Maldives, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and New Zealand.  [The great chemistry between Yoona and Junho sparked rumors that they were in a romantic relationship](https://mb.com.ph/2023/7/3/king-the-land-stars-junho-yoona-deny-they-are-in-romantic-relationship), which they denied.
