Super Radyo DZBB 594 and Barangay LS 97.1 Forever! – GMA Network’s flagship AM and FM radio stations – are still the kings of the airwaves for the months of May and June, data from Nielsen Radio Audience Measurement show.

GMA’s award-winning AM flagship radio station Super Radyo DZBB 594 remained the top choice of Mega Manila listeners, posting 31.1 percent total audience share in June. This was even higher than its May performance at 26.7 percent.

DZBB continues to take the lead against its closest competitor, DZRH, which only managed to tally 28.5 percent and 26.4 percent total audience share in June and May, respectively.

The morning block dominated the station’s highest-rating daypart with programs “Super Balita sa Umaga Nationwide”, “Melo Del Prado sa Super Radyo,” "Pinoy MD," "Buena Manong Balita," "Bahay at Buhay," and “Executive Summary” boosting the numbers of listeners. 

On FM, Barangay LS 97.1 further left the other radio stations behind as it took the lion share of 41.9 percent total audience share in Mega Manila last June. It also topped the May Mega Manila ratings with 41.0 percent total audience share. Its nearest competitor, 90.7 Love Radio, only managed an audience share of 15.5 and 17.7 percent in June and May, respectively.

Listeners continued to tune in to high-rating programs “Barangay Love Stories,” “Talk to Papa,” “Forever Request,” and “Song Book.”

On top of winning the airwaves, GMA Network’s radio stations took home several awards from the UP BroadSoc Gandingan Awards last May.

DZBB’s veteran broadcaster Melo del Prado was conferred the Best AM Radio Program Host while reporter Isa Avendaño-Umali was named Best Field Reporter. “Saksi sa Dobol B” and “Kurtesiya Na, Disiplina Pa” won Most Development-Oriented AM Program and Most Development-Oriented Radio Plug, respectively. Barangay LS 97.1 Forever! was recognized as the Most Development-Oriented FM Station while “Barangay Love Stories” was recognized as the Most Development-Oriented Radio Drama. 

DZBB also received the second highest trust score among news brands in the Philippines according to the 2023 Digital News Report (DNR).
