CdeO mayor celebrates birthday by sharing blessings with constituents
CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Mayor Rolando Uy celebrated his 70th birth anniversary on Wednesday, July 5, by providing help, food, and services to his constituents here.

(Franck Dick Rosete) As early as 7 a.m., Uy visited the city-run JR Borja General Hospital in Barangay Carmen and personally handed over free food packs to the more or less 800 admitted patients, including watchers and hospital staff. The local chief executive was guided by the health institution’s top officials and personnel from city hall. The mayor’s weekly program "People’s Day," which is scheduled every Wednesday, was also continued by the city government where more or less 700 clients benefited from various city hall services. Apart from these, the clients also received free food packs and P1,000 worth of financial assistance. Uy also gave away wheelchairs and crutches to 15 people with disabilities from hinterland areas in the city and about 1,000 taxi drivers received P1,000 worth of gas coupons. Sen. Imee Marcos attended the Uy’s birth anniversary celebration also graced by Mayor Samson Dumanjug of Bonifacio town in Misamis Occidental, Mayor Charlotte Panal of Tambulig town in Zamboanga del Sur, former Misamis Occidental Gov. Philip Tan, and former Tangub City Mayor Jennifer Tan. Marcos lauded Uy’s People’s Day and expressed hope the program would be successful to help more Kagay-anons.
