2 hurt in LPG tank explosion in Quezon

LOPEZ, Quezon – Two persons were injured after a Liquefied Petroleum Gas tank in a pizza and pasta restaurant in Barangay Poblacion here exploded on Wednesday morning, July 5. Authorities identified the injured as Shairia Manuel Panganiban, 20, kitchen staff, from Calauag town, this province, and Helen Masaganda, 48, helper and a resident of Barangay Tan-ag, this town. Panganiban and Masaganda sustained injuries and were taken to a hospital. The food house was located at the corner of a commercial building and the explosion affected nearby establishments. The Bureau of Fire Protection-Lopez has yet to determine the amount of damage to property. Follow-up investigation is ongoing.
