Flood inundates 12 Hagonoy, Bulacan vilages

Residents of 12 villages in Hagonoy, Bulacna waded in 4.86 feet floodwater brought about by high tide on Monday, July 3. Out of the 26 barangays in Hagonoy, the flood waters that accumulated for almost a week now have affected the villages of Bulusan, Sto. Nino, Tibaguin, Pugad, Sta Monica, Tampok, San Miguel, Sto Rosario, Mercado, San Nicolas, Sagrada Familia, and Sta Elena. The Sto Nino road is not passable to light vehicles but Hagonoy Mayor Baby Manlapaz ordered the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) in the town to deploy their truck to ferry stranded residents. The flood that comes from the Manila Bay reportedly subsides at around 3:00 in the afternoon. The residents have been experiencing flood due to the high tide for more than a decade now and they have already sought help from authorities.
