A double dose of music and laughter at the K! Valera! Concert

Nothing says quality entertainment quite like music, laughter, and good vibes all in one show. This August, Newport World Resorts introduces audiences to another extraordinary tandem in the OPM scene. Filipino music legend Rey Valera and one of the country’s ultimate all-around entertainers, K Brosas, join forces for the first time in “K! Valera”. The one night-show is guaranteed to treat audiences to an unforgettable experience at the Newport Performing Arts Theater (NPAT) of Newport World Resorts on Aug. 4, 8 PM. The duo has been at the top of their game for decades showcasing their excellent vocal performance and perfect comedic timing onstage. A legend in the OPM world, Valera introduced the most enduring Filipino songs such as “Pangako Sa’yo,” “Maging Sino Ka Man,” and “Kung Kailangan Mo Ako," to the airwaves. His preference and talent for writing songs in the local language earned him the title, “King of Tagalog Songs.” These have become the soundtrack of many Filipinos’ lives, as well as theme songs for some of the well-loved Philippine television series and movies. Last year, Valera dominated the NPAT stage with the highly-successful Philippine leg of the “Four Kings and a Queen" concert with fellow OPM hitmakers. Meanwhile, K Brosas is dubbed the Ultimate Entertainer for her impressive singing and stand-up comedic flair. The wacky comedienne has come a long way in entertaining audiences from doing stints to performing sold-out shows here and abroad. In 2000, she debuted in mainstream showbiz with K and The Boxer's band. The band was mostly remembered for the massive radio hit “Sasakyan Kita.” Not long after, she stormed into television hosting and acting in drama series. She marked her two decades of legacy in the industry with a digital anniversary concert in 2020. Experience laugh-out-loud moments and the best of OPM brought by the K! Valera! at the Newport Performing Arts Theater on August 4. The power duo concert is directed by multi-hyphenate artist John Prats.
