“Isang commitment ang pag-iisang dibdib. Kasi hindi puro sarap ang married life, mayroong pagsubok ding kinakaharap. Pero ang mahalaga, committed kayo sa isa’t isa na mananatiling magkapares hanggang sa pagtanda. (Getting married is a commitment. Married life is not entirely filled with happiness but there will also be challenges. The important thing is that you are committed to each other to be together until you get old),” Biazon told the couples. The oldest couple who tied the knot in the ceremony were Jose Glenn Riofrio, 59, and Ma. Amelia Basas, 51, from Barangay Putatan. The youngest were Joel Honghong, 25, Ruth delos Santos, 19, from Barangay Sucat. Chosen as the Most Romantic Couple were Michael John Ibana and Marichricelen Santos. Joining the ceremony were Rep. Jaime Fresnedi, Vice Mayor Temy Simundac, and Councilors Ivee Arciaga-Tadefa, Rachel Arciaga, Allan Camilon, Alexson Diaz, Dado Moldez and Ting Niefes. The “Kasalang Bayan” is a project of the Muntinlupa City government through the Community Affairs and Development Office (CADO) and Local Civil Registry.
