"Due to inclement weather, the conduct of mid-year term classes will shift to synchronous and/or asynchronous modes today, July 31, 2023," UPM announced on its social media page, citing the Office of the Chancellor. The advisory is due to typhoon-enhanced southwest monsoon or "habagat," which will bring rain in the next few days. *(Sonny Daanoy)* Read: [https://mb.com.ph/2023/7/31/typhoon-falcon-to-exit-par-aug-1-but-habagat-rains-may-persist](https://mb.com.ph/2023/7/31/typhoon-falcon-to-exit-par-aug-1-but-habagat-rains-may-persist)
