Ilocos Norte 1st district Rep. Sandro Marcos expressed his gratitude on Sunday, July 30 to all those who have sent assistance to his district following Super Typhoon Egay's recent onslaught up north. Perhaps more importantly, the presidential son also gave a pep talk to his constituents to boost their morale. "I would also like to thank everyone who has shown their support, including our friends from the private sector who have been instrumental in bringing relief goods. Grateful that we have all come together to help the victims of this typhoon. ✌🏻🇵🇭," Rep. Marcos wrote in a Facebook post. "The ilocano spirit is unwavering and our resilience will always be second to none. SAMA SAMA TAYO BABANGON MULI 🇵🇭," added the House senior deputy majority leader. Over the weekend, Rep. Marcos took part in an assessment meeting on the damage caused by Egay to Ilocos Norte. No less than President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos led the meeting. "Rest assured that the President, LGUs (local government units), Gov’t agencies concerned, and my office have been working non stop to ensure the rehabilitation efforts in the province," the neophyte lawmaker said.
