Korean fantasy drama ‘Arthdal Chronicles’ season 2 to stream on Disney+


The Korean fantasy drama “Arthdal Chronicles” season 2 is coming to Disney+. 

Disney+ announced that season 2 titled “Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramun,” set eight years after the dramatic events of season 1, will premiere on the video streaming platform in September.

It promises to have a captivating new story set eight years after King Tagon first ascended to the throne.

Season 2 will stream on Disney+ new episodes released every Saturday and Sunday. 

“Arthdal Chronicles: The Sword of Aramun” will star Jang Dong-gun (“A Gentleman’s Destiny,” “V.I.P.”) as Tagon, the king of Arthdal; Lee Joon-gi (“Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo,” “The King and the Clown”) as Eunseom, the leader of the Ago tribe and Inaishingi; Shin Se-kyung (“Run On,” “The Girl Who Sees Scents”) as Tanya, the high priestess of Arthdal; and Kim Ok-vin (“Thirst,” “The Villainess”) as the manipulative politician and first queen of Arthdal, Taealha. 

Season 2 is directed by Kim Kwangsik (“The Great Battle”), and is written by season 1 writers Kim Younghyun and Park Sangyean.

Season 1 aired from June to September 2019 and also starred Song Joong-ki and Kim Ji-won.
