Gallup Korea reveals top 20 favorite TV, OTT programs in July in South Korea

Polling firm Gallup Korea revealed the top 20 favorite TV and over-the-top (OTT) programs in July in South Korea.  Since January 2013, Gallup Korea has conducted the favorite TV programs survey every month.  As the number of OTT and online video services has increased in recent years, Gallup Korea included OTT programs in the survey starting this year.  (Clockwise from top left) “The Real Has Come!," "Earth Arcade," "King the Land" and "Revenant" (Photos from KBS, tvN, JTBC, SBS) 
The latest survey, which excluded news programs, was conducted from July 18 to 20 among 1,001 people aged 18 and older nationwide in South Korea.  Taking the No. 1 spot is the KBS2 drama “The Real Has Come!” with 3.7 percent. The drama stars Baek Jin-hee, Ahn Jae-hyun, Cha Joo-young, and Jung Eui-jae.  The tvN comedy show “Earth Arcade” season 2 placed second with 3.4 percent, down from its first place rank in June.  JTBC’s “King the Land,” starring Lee Junho and Yoona, placed third with 3.2 percent, the first time that it entered the survey.  Kim Tae-ri’s “Revenant” on SBS ranked fourth with 3 percent followed by the MBC variety show “I Live Alone” with 2.6 percent.  Here are the top 20 favorite TV, OTT programs in July in South Korea: 1\. “The Real Has Come\!” \(Drama\, KBS2\) \- 3\.7%  2\. “Earth Arcade” \(Variety show\, tvN\) \- 3\.4%  3\. “King the Land” \(Drama\, JTBC\) \- 3\.2%  4\. “Revenant” \(Drama\, SBS\) \- 3%  5\. “I Live Alone” \(Variety show\, MBC\) \- 2\.6%  6\.
