Did Joey De Leon take swipe at Noli De Castro over Maine-Arjo's wedding?

E.A.T. host Joey De Leon appeared not amused when netizens commented over Maine Mendoza and Arjo Atayde got married at the height of typhoon "Egay" last July 28. One of those who commented was TV Patrol anchor Noli de Castro. At the closing spiels of the news program last July 28, De Castro commented: "Kayo habang kinakasal, kawawa naman yung mga binabagyo." Hosts Bernadette Sembrano and Karen Davila said: "Eto naman, o." De Castro's comment did not sit well with the netizens. On July 31, De Leon took to Twitter to defend the newlyweds. "Sa mga kababayan nating ume-epal na hindi raw dapat nagpakasal ang dalawang ito dahil binabagyo raw ang bayan, eto lang ang masasabi ko—-naunang nagplano sina Menggay kaysa kay Egay! Wala silang kasalanan kundi ang unang limang letra ng “kasalanan”—-KASAL!" De Leon tweeted. Mendoza is one of the original Dabarkads in the daily noontime program "E.A.T." on TV5.
