Cabañes retires as editor-in-chief; MB names new executive, business, and sports editors

After 51 years of dedicated service, Loreto D. Cabañes has relinquished his post as Manila Bulletin editor-in-chief.

The men and women of the Manila Bulletin salute and thank him for his distinguished service. He joined the Bulletin in 1972 as a reporter covering the banking beat and the business community and was this paper’s business editor for the past two decades.

Vicente Edgardo C. Bartilad and Cecilia C. Colmenares will serve as executive editors overseeing the integrated development of news, features and editorial content.

Bernadette C. Magkilat has been appointed business editor and Ramon Rafael C. Bonilla as sports editor.
